Aylmer discover tour with Henry Robertson

See spring flowers and the wealth of biodiversity that can be found around Deschênes and Wychwood, including uncommon western prairie with a focus on identifying indigenous plant species. Please note harvesting is not allowed.

This walk will be one way and take just over 1 hour to complete from rue Houle Deschênes to the intersection of Rue Lamoureux and the bike path.

Important information :

The hike is one way, so please arrange the ride at the end or expect to walk back (roughly 20 minutes). While these trails should be clear and accessible, please bring appropriate footwear, clothing and a water bottle.

Information on the guide :

Henry Nicholas Robertson is an economist and statistician by training and a naturalist and botanist by passion. He is keenly interested in documenting and educating about the exceptionnally rich and diverse flora of Aylmer, Gatineau and Ottawa Valley. He is a member of the administrative council and conservation committee of the Deschênes Park Alliance and the Ottawa Field Naturalists Club conservation commitee.

Dates and hours : April 21, 2024 at 10:00 am.

In case of rain, the tour is postponed to April 28.

Meeting point : Parking lot at the corner of Rue Houle and Rue John-Gibeault.
